NEW YORK -- April 19, 2010 - SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, New York Jets and BIG EAST Conference, today announced the network won five Emmy Awards - including best live sports coverage for Mets baseball - at the 53rd Annual New York Emmy® Awards, which took place at the Marriott Marquis' Broadway Ballroom last night.

In addition to taking home an Emmy Award for the top sports broadcast (Category: Live Sports Event: Series) in New York, SNY's critically acclaimed Mets broadcaster - Keith Hernandez - won the Emmy Award for the top sports analyst.

"We're extremely proud to be acknowledged by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for our excellence in sports coverage," said Curt Gowdy Jr., SNY's Senior Vice President of Production and Executive Producer. "We strive to set new standards in our on-air presentation and we are truly honored by this recognition."
